You want your home to create comfort, and portray your personality; your garage may need an engineered beam designed to support a mid-span 2000 lb point load for pulling motors, and/or you must have a walk-in closet specially designed to display your prized high heel collection. I appreciate creativity and have a keen eye for effective custom design work. Every home should be designed with individuality in mind, and keeping this in mind is my job.
One of my passions for the last nine years has been custom design and construction. The fact that I build off of my own plans (and other’s in the past) has helped tremendously with the home design learning curve, ultimately giving me extra hands on knowledge to tap into as a very useful resource. The hammer to nail experience, as well as being the guy who pays the bills on projects have both given me valuable insight into construction costs. I always keep on top of material pricing and contractor’s fees, because every project has a budget; some grand, others modest.
What I will do as your designer is devote the time and energy needed to create a set of plans I’m proud to sell. Some design jobs will require multi-day site visits with localized cost and build research, while some plans can be created through faxing, emailing, and phone conferencing. All options can be discussed to give you and your project the time and attention needed to draft up your ‘Broad Axe Design’.
